The Muslim charter.
The charter seeks to "challenge organisations" to make progress in supporting Muslim sportsmen and women, with signatories pledging to "create positive change".

There are 10 points contained within the charter, such as non-consumption of alcohol, including during celebrations, the provision of appropriate places to pray, halal food, and being allowed to fast in Ramadan.

So no more champagne celebrations.

Whatever happened to the notion of people adapting to our way of life?

When we win the Europa league we will spray a bottle of fizzy water.

Re: The Muslim charter.
Its simple, if you want to join in with a team sport turn up and join in.

If you don't like the environment we have been playing sports in for many years fuck off and do your own thing.

Spraying people with alcohol is deeply offensive to me.

Why fucking waste it?

Re: The Muslim charter.
I know plenty of muslims who like a beer or two, I think the no alcohol thing is open to interpretation.

Re: The Muslim charter.
There are Muslims and Muslims, anyway. Syrian Assad's lot, whose name temporarily escapes me, not only drink alcohol, but use it in some of their ceremonies (echos of Christianity there, I think).

Loads of Turks love a beer.

It seems it’s the South Asians that take their religion too seriously.

Re: The Muslim charter.
Here's a positive change for you, join in and play the sport as it has been played for many years or just fuck off start your own leagues with your own rules. I expect there will not be many people other than practicing Muslims rushing to join. I do suggest, however, the penalty spot is not an appropriate place to pray when a corner is coming Iver, just a suggestion like

Re: The Muslim charter.
One of my good friends, a top property lawyer in the city, is from Muslim parentage, but he is as Western as you can get. He drinks like a trooper, went to an independent school, is non-religious and can't stand BLM/woke nonsense like the rest of us free thinkers.

It's not what religious or part of the World you are from that matters, but how liberal and educated you are and often how liberal and educated your parents are.

The problem with these pressure groups are that they are run by poorly educated fanatics who use religion as an excuse to try to control people.

Religious fanatics are a tyranny and the enemy of the people.
